Whats in a name?
Traditionally only used by James Bond Villains and dare I say Exotic Dancers (not that I would know), the idea of an alias is now common amongst internet users. Names like GoldFinger, Apples,”Hoxton” or more hardcore names like h4ck3r are seen throughout the world of online social networking. Originally used as away to hide a true identity or to transform into someone you are not (a persona), it has now matured into something simpler and more helpful - a way to describe a little about who you are as a person (somewhat the opposite of its original use). You will see names like “NYmale77″ which translates easily to a Male living in New York who was born in 1977, or FitGal which hints at a female who is into fitness.
“Of course, many online aliases are not as easy to translate or are not as straight forward. Hoxton, which is my alias, is a small area in London city where I spent 3 years. Its a great area with lots of bars and restaurants. If someone was familiar with the nightlife in Hoxton I guess they would have an idea of the type of places I like to hangout in, which says a little about who I am.”
WeAll.com will use the concept of aliases. We believe its a fun way to represent yourself in the community and provides a level of anonymity that will help our members to feel more secure. There’s always going to be names on the site you don’t understand, but ask and I bet 9 times out of 10 you will get a good story. So when creating your WeAll.com name, be creative, have fun with it, and don’t feel silly as WeAll have had to do it.
What is your online username? and what does it mean? please comment…

My online name (avgguy57) came because when I originally joined AnyWebcam, I thought of myself as a AVeraGeGUY of 57 years. Now that I have grown up to the grand age of 60, I have found I am well above average. LOL

Nice explanation, my first guess would have been that you were a fan of / or in the Audio Visual industry.
